Overview
MSY Technology is a retail technology company that needed a full redesign of their e-commerce platform. The goal was to create a more intuitive, modern experience that better served both customers and internal staff.
The Challenge
The existing site had grown organically over many years, resulting in a fragmented information architecture and inconsistent visual language. Users struggled to find products and the checkout flow had a high abandonment rate.
Process
Research began with stakeholder interviews and a thorough heuristic evaluation of the existing platform. We ran usability testing sessions with 12 participants across different customer segments to identify pain points and opportunities.
Key findings informed a complete redesign of the navigation structure, product discovery flows, and checkout experience. Wireframes were iterated rapidly based on feedback before moving into high-fidelity prototypes in Figma.
Outcome
The redesigned platform launched with measurable improvements: task completion rates increased significantly and the checkout abandonment rate dropped. The new design system also gave the internal team a scalable foundation for future development.
